The Name "SiamVille"

Siam was the official name of Thailand until about 1939.  Later, changed to Thailand.  We picked this name to show that when you come to visit us at SiamVille, you come to the village of Siam (Thailand) where you could find authentic Thai food, eating food cooked by Thai, meeting Thai people, learn about Thai cultures, and much more.

Introducing Thai Food

Thai food is getting more and more popular each year.  It is true that many people have heard about Thai food, but not many people really know much about it.  The owner, Al R-Charoen who graduated from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, falls in love with Iowa and would like to introduce people in Iowa to the exotic Thai cuisine.

Thai food is known for its enthusiastic use of fresh (rather than dried) herbs and spices, for its healthyness and spicyness.  There are many cases where Thai herbs in Thai cooking claimed to help people to be healthier.

Fortunately for those who don't like spicy food.  Not all Thai food are spicy.  Most of the food from Southern part of Thailand are known to be very spicy.  The popular dishes like Pad Thai and Tom Kha Kai are not spicy at all.  Again, many Thai like to fired them up which when you come to SiamVille you can learn to fired dishes up like the way we do it.
